Situation

The Bioinformatics and Public Health Area, belonging to the Institute of Health Carlos III, is located in Majadahonda, 20 kilometres far from Madrid, close to the Industrial Estate Park "El Carralero", and only 300 metres far from the built-up area.

Access by car

You can go to the Institute of Health Carlos III of Majadahonda from Madrid by several ways:

• Go along National 6 Road towards La Coruña and use exit 18 towards Las Rozas/El Escorial. Continue along the M-505 Road towards Las Rozas/Majadahonda. After that, go along Carretera of Majadahonda/Las Rozas until Reyes Catolicos Street, and continue until Majadahonda-Pozuelo Road, where the Institute Carlos III is located.
• Go along the M-40 Highway and take the exit to Majadahonda (M-503 Road). A few kilometres later, take the exit to the Industrial Park "El Carralero".

Access by train

Trains departs from the major train station of Chamartin and Atocha as well as from others around every 15 minutes. You have to take the C10 o C7 Commuter train lines towards Majadahonda station. The trip from either Chamartin or Atocha train stations will take, approximately, 30 minutes. In Majadahonda, you can take a bus (see Access by bus in this web page) or, if you prefer to go walking, go straight by Principe de Asturias Street until you get to a roundabout crossing Juan Carlos I Avenue. Continue straight by the avenue until the next roundabout and then, turn left, go along Majadahonda-Pozuelo Road and you will see the Institute of Health Carlos III. This walk will take, more or less, about 25-30 minutes.

Access by bus

From "Intercambiador de Moncloa" you can take some bus lines that go to Majadahonda, although they have different routes. The best option is to take the bus line 651, which has a bus stop in the Institute Carlos III. In the same manner, you can also take the bus line 561 near to the Aluche subway station, which has a bus stop in the Institute Carlos III, too.
